You may have seen some red objects near Mars this month. These are the stars that form Aldebaran, the angry eye of Torres Bell, and the shoulder of . And speaking of Beatles, astronomers using NASA's Hubble Space Telescope and other observatories have determined that the star's fading last year was caused by a red giant wall due to its age. It was due to a cloud of dust. And while scientists believe the star has moved into burning helium instead of hydrogen, they believe it is unlikely to explode into a supernova anytime soon.
NASA's Stability Rover successfully lands on Mars on February 18! And in addition to this latest level of explorer, the orbits of two other countries also orbited the Red Planet last month, making 2021 the truly International Year of the Discovery of Mars.
Hopefully, you managed to catch a glimpse of Jupiter and Saturn as they came so close to their great gathering in December. Shortly afterwards, the two planets came out of the evening sky as if they were visible from Earth. Well, now the pair is back, this time like the morning planets. In the second half of March, Jupiter and Saturn appeared together as a bright pair in the sky before dawn. They will not be as close as December, but it is still a pleasure to observe them. So if you get up early, grab a hot drink step from the outside to make contact with the largest planets in our solar system.
